One of the drawbacks of living where we do is the lack of green space and parks in a walk-able distance to our condo. We have great views of the mountains but nothing in walking distance (that we have found) that we can turn B loose to play. However just a short drive is a municipal park called Youth Park. It is fantastic. It not only has a great play ground, but hiking trails, a skate park, swimming pool, graffiti park, skating rink and reflexology track. Here is a little of what we discovered when we took B to the park one Sunday morning.
The playground!

Not only is there a great playground, there is a little something for everyone here.
Like a skate park:
Swimming Pools:

Statues of fighting guys:

There were a lot of people using the outdoor exercise equipment:

There were lots of pretty flowers everywhere, many of which I have never seen before:
And monkeys! Lots of Monkeys!!

Over by the skate park there is a section call Graffiti Park. It is a section of the park in which graffiti artists have come in a painted free standing walls.
The final section of the park was the reflexology track. Now if you have ever had a reflexology foot massage, you know that they are flipping painful. Your feet feel great after, but they hurt, a lot. Here you have a reflexology track.
This peacefully looking little path is full of raised rocks that you are to walk on barefoot…all the way around.
Nathan tried it out. This is as far as he got. It hurts.
Here are some signs explaining the theory behind foot reflexology, and was to do and not to do.

Overall this is a great park facility with something for everyone. B had a fantastic time at the playground and watching the Monkeys. It is a beautiful, relaxing green space, it will certainly be on our list of weekend activities while we live here.
